BMO Vancouver Marathon 2025 Recap: Events, Photos & XACT Crew Highlights

By the XACT Nutrition Team

This past weekend, Vancouver didn’t just run — it connected. From shakeout runs to cheer zone block parties to post-race beers, the BMO Vancouver Marathon Weekend reminded us what we’re all about: sharing energy, supporting one another, and fueling every moment — together.

We’re proud to have been at the heart of it, partnering with some of the most passionate and welcoming people in the run community to make the whole thing happen.

Friday — Unsanctioned and Unmissable

We kicked things off Friday night with the Good Luck x EVRC Unsanctioned Race — a high-energy, few-rules, dash through East Van. With surprise checkpoints, Fireball and/or Jamieson shots and mid-run hugs, the event was pure grassroots magic. We brought the ENERGY Fruit bars of course, but mostly we brought support — helping runners fuel up, find their flow, and enjoy every wild step. Shoutout to R&B Brewing for hosting the post-run festivities, and to the runners and run crews that keep things fun, not formal.

Saturday — Shake It Out, Cheer Sign Crafting

Saturday was about easing in. We teamed up with Adidas Runners and Runners Vancouver to host a shakeout run and cheer sign-making session at R&B Brewing. The 3K and 5K loops gave folks a chance to loosen up before race day, while our sampling table kept everyone fuelled. Cheer signs were crafted, new friends were made, and we were reminded that the best pre-race rituals are the ones done together.

Sunday — Full Send, Full Hearts

Race day. And Vancouver delivered.

From 8AM to 2PM, the XACT Crew Block Party at Devonian Harbour Park — in collaboration with East Van Run Crew — became a non-stop wave of energy. With DJs, megaphones, high-fives, and yes, XACT ENERGY bars, we supported every runner that passed through the 20K/41K section. Whether you were racing, cheering, pacing, or dancing — this was a celebration of effort and joy. Exactly what we love to see.

We followed it up with the post-race afterparty at R&B Brewing, where things stayed loud, heartfelt, and delicious. Pizza, beer, flash tattoos, and that warm, sore, satisfied feeling only a full-body weekend can deliver.
