Fuel, Fun & Full Send — From Start Line to Pizza Time
It’s here. From July 3–6, over 3,500 runners will descend on the trails of Quebec Mega Trail 2025 for one of the wildest, most technical, and most joy-filled weekends in Canadian trail running. And this year, XACT Nutrition isn’t just showing up — we’re showing off.
We’re bringing eight fierce and fabulous ambassadors, launching a brand new endurance bar, and lighting up the course with wood-fired pizza, jazzy tunes, and community vibes strong enough to push anyone up Mont-Sainte-Anne. Let’s go.
Meet the Ambassadors Racing QMT 2025
David Jeker – 135km
Coach, ultra strategist, and podium regular, David is one of Canada’s sharpest minds in trail running. Founder of Quantum Endurance, he blends scientific insight with serious trail cred (check those back-to-back Bromont Ultra 55km wins). This year, he’s tackling the full 135km beast with a UTMB index of 765 — and that trademark calm focus.
Rhys Desmond – 80km
Vancouver-based and full of running wisdom, Rhys is the next-gen coach/creator/competitor combo we love. He dropped a full QMT 50K training plan earlier this year and knows this course inside out. His 7th place finish in 2024 was just the beginning.
Maïka Lamoureux – 50km
PhD candidate by day, trail machine by... also day. Maïka is proof you can have brains, blisters, and podiums. Her career highlights include a win at UTHC 65km, 2nd at Bromont Ultra, and repping Canada at the 2022 World Champs in Thailand. She’s racing smart, fast, and always with a smile.
Elisabeth Cauchon – 135km
A veteran of the ultra scene with a global track record (2nd at Grand Raid de La Réunion’s Trail de Bourbon? Yes please), Elisabeth is back for the 135km and ready to roll. Her consistency and calm are the kind you want when you’re deep in the Mestachibo woods, wondering why you signed up for this.
Nik Golymbiowsky – 135km
Founder of XTRAILS, destroyer of comfort zones, and possibly part mountain goat. Nik has soloed 300 miles from LA to Vegas and 1,000km across Eastern Canada just for fun. This weekend, he channels that energy into the 135km. Expect big moves, quiet grit, and the kind of endurance only love of sport (and maybe coffee) can fuel.
Catherine Cormier-Boutin – 135km
A fixture in the Quebec trail scene, Catherine documents her journey @cormierboutin style: honest, inspiring, and full of mountain magic. Her deep endurance base and experience make her a powerful presence on QMT’s longest route.
Frederic Faucher – 80km
Steady, smart, and strong, Fred brings nearly a decade of ultra-trail wisdom to this year’s 80km. With a UTMB index of 664 and a top 10 QMT finish under his belt, he’s back with more firepower — and a deep understanding of how to pace those wild Quebec climbs.
Dennis Kim – 50km
Dennis, a proud Bushtukah Ottawa team member and community trail enthusiast, rounds out our crew. Whether it’s the Nakkertok Trail Enduro or the QMT 50km, he brings low-key brilliance, dedication, and serious snack enthusiasm. You can follow his training and race prep at @_denis.kim_.
🍕 The Legendary St-Tite Aid Station
At around 80km into the 135km course — when your legs are questioning all life choices — runners hit our pride and joy: the St-Tite-des-Caps aid station.
Yes, there’s hydration. Yes, there are XACT Fruit Bars. But more importantly: there’s hot, wood-fired pizza and jazzy funk music blasting into the forest.
This year we’re turning it up a notch. Expect cowbells, neon flamingos (maybe), spontaneous dancing (likely), and that wave of joy that hits right when you need it most — just before the infamous Dalle Humide section.
Debuting: The XACT Endurance Bar
We’ve spent over a year crafting this — and QMT is the first chance to try it:
The XACT Endurance Bar
- 16g carbs, 6g fat, 5g protein — for slow-burning, balanced fuel
- Real ingredients: almonds, dates, fruit — no weird stuff
- Soft, weatherproof texture: no melting, no crumbling, no cranking open foil with frozen fingers
- Lower glycemic index: steady energy, zero crash
You can sample it at:
- 📍 St-Tite aid station (for the lucky ones on course)
- 📍 Mont-Sainte-Anne finish line (for literally everyone)
This is the bar that says “Let’s go all day.” Come see why.
Finish Line = Celebration Zone
Whether you’re running, crewing, spectating, or just here for the vibes, come say hi at the finish line at Mont-Sainte-Anne. We’ve got the full XACT product range, Endurance Bar samples, merch, and maybe a few surprises.
Over 3,000 runners from 30 countries are coming together this weekend — and we’re here to fuel the community from first step to last slice.
Because This Is What We Believe In
At XACT, our mission is simple: Real effort. Real food. Real community.
We believe in celebrating the joy of movement, supporting athletes from every level, and turning aid stations into dance floors when the moment calls for it. We’re not here just to hand out snacks — we’re here to help you go further, together.
To every ambassador toeing the line: thank you for representing us with grit, kindness, and style. To every runner out there this weekend: we’re cheering for you, feeding you, and vibing with you — every muddy, magical step of the way.
See you at St-Tite. See you at the finish line. See you out there.
